About Flow Therapies

photo of Carol BeanI live in central Lancaster (Freehold) and work as an holistic therapist offering therapies within a dedicated therapy room in my own home and a community workplace practice. I offer a limited mobile service to disabled clients within Lancaster. I completed a VTCT Diploma in Holistic Therapies from Lancaster & Morecambe College in Summer 2005 qualifying me in Aromatherapy, Indian head Massage, Swedish Body Massage and Reflexology. Furthermore I gained a VTCT Diploma in Body Massage and Anatomy and Physiology (Advanced) in July 2006, allowing me to extend my range of treatments to include Deep Tissue Massage. I am also trained as a Reiki practitioner and have skills for counselling and relaxation. I have experience in tailoring therapies to a wide range of clients with different needs and in so doing providing relaxation, stress relief, and healing for a variety of conditions and ailments.

Educated to post-graduate degree level, I have a career history that spans paid and voluntary positions in Arts Administration, Schools and Community Work environments.

I have successfully adopted an holistic approach to the management of my own thyroid condition, and understand at first hand the benefits of applying holistic therapies alongside conventional medicine to the treatment of endocrine imbalances, and as a useful stand alone tool for the treatment of stress and depression. I strongly believe in the link between healing and creativity and the use of holistic therapies to release creative energies.
